Our home recently flooded with about an inch of water throughout the house. Somehow, my Roborock S8 Pro Ultra (purchased in 2024) was still running, literally moving through water, and it still worked afterwards. That was honestly impressive.
But once we got into the construction phase with dust, debris, and constant traffic, it just could not keep up anymore. It reached a point where it really was not vacuuming effectively at all.
That is what pushed me to step back and start looking at newer systems. After a lot of research, I decided on the MOVA P10 Ultra Gen 2 because it seemed to offer me the best bang for my buck.
Overall, I was happy with the Roborock system. But after seeing the MOVA P10 in action, it made me realize how much the Roborock was underperforming, especially with mopping and dog hair. I was constantly having to manually unclog the dustbin. With MOVA, I have not had that issue. The app lets you increase how often the robot empties its onboard bin, and that has been a game changer with pet hair.
On the note of hair, I have not had to take apart the rollers to remove tangled hair. With my previous machines, both dog and human hair would wrap around the rollers all the time and needed constant maintenance.
I will also be adding a MOVA V50 Ultra soon. That one will go upstairs to replace an older Shark, vacuum-only, unit in my teen son’s room and bathroom. At this point, that space needs more than just regular vacuuming. If you have a teenage boy, you understand.
So now I am upgrading everything and putting these systems through real-world tests to see how they actually perform. I will be sharing what I find so you can make a more informed decision.
