Suction Power Test on Older Carpet

One of the biggest differences I’ve noticed with the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete is how clearly the suction shows up on carpet. Before using this, I assumed our previous robot vacuum was doing a decent job. It kept things looking clean on the surface, and that seemed sufficient.

After the first run with the V50, it became obvious there was more being pulled out of the carpet than I expected. The cleaning lines were immediately visible, and the carpet looked more defined rather than flattened. In the photos, you can see the progression from before, to during the cleaning pass, to the final result.

For context, this carpet dates back several decades and has always been difficult to refresh. It tends to hold onto dirt below the surface and look worn down even after cleaning.

With this vacuum, the difference is more noticeable after each use. The fibers appear more lifted, the texture looks more even, and the overall surface looks refreshed rather than just maintained. It’s the kind of change that stands out more over time, especially on older carpet that usually doesn’t respond much to regular cleaning.
