One thing I’ve found interesting while using the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete has been watching how it maps the house over time. During the first few cleaning cycles, it almost looked like it was wandering somewhat blindly from room to room while learning the layout and figuring out where everything was located. As it continued cleaning, though, the map in the app became much more detailed and surprisingly accurate.
The first two photos show the V50 Ultra Complete during some of those early mapping runs as it moved throughout the house learning the layout. It has done a good job identifying furniture placement, room boundaries, and different floor types throughout the house. At one point, the map actually helped me realize our couches in the living room were not positioned as symmetrically as I thought they were because the spacing on the map was slightly off. The level of detail was honestly more precise than I expected.
The third photo is a screenshot of the current map in the MOVA app after several cleaning cycles. You can see that it has outlined furniture placement and identified different flooring types throughout the house. It also did a surprisingly good job automatically identifying spaces like the living room, kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms with very little editing required from me afterward.
The map is not perfect. There are still a few blank spots, and in one room it seemed to treat the bed as if it were the edge of the house instead of recognizing that there was more room around it. Honestly though, if I felt strongly enough about it, the map editing tools are simple enough that I could probably make it almost an exact replica of the house with a little manual adjustment. In our case, those particular areas are underneath heavier furniture that we do not move very often anyway, so it has not really been a major issue for us.
