[V50 Ultra Complete] MOVA V50 Dock Mop Pad Cleaning Test With Ketchup and Coffee

Before I get into it, quick transparency note: I received the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete through MOVA’s “Get & Create” program at no cost in exchange for sharing my honest experience. That said, everything here is based on actually using it in my apartment. I’m not an influencer, and I’m definitely not trying to make perfectly staged cleaning content. I’m just excited to see how the V50 works in my home with a normal mess. Also: You may need to refresh this page in order for the video to show up.

For this test, I used two packets of ketchup and a few drops of coffee to intentionally dirty up the mop pads. My main goal was not really to see how well the V50 could clean that specific mess from the floor. I wanted to get the mop pads visibly dirty and then see how well the dock would clean them afterward.

The dock actually did a good job. After the pad cleaning cycle, it removed the ketchup and coffee from the mop pads better than I expected. That part of the test was a clear positive for me.

Where the test fell apart was the actual mopping performance and navigation. The V50 left a lot of residue behind on the floor, so the area did not feel truly clean when it was done. I also set a small cleaning zone, but the robot went well outside of that zone, including onto my bath mats. Since the mop pads were dirty at that point, they ended up staining the bath mats, which was frustrating.

After the V50 finished, I had to send my Z60 into the bathroom to clean the floor thoroughly. So while the dock itself passed the mop pad cleaning part of the test, the actual mopping result was not good.

Combined with my earlier sticky mopping test, I would give the V50 a failing grade for mopping if I am grading it strictly on a pass/fail basis. The dock cleaned the pads well, but the floor-cleaning performance did not meet what I would consider a passing result.

TL;DR: I used ketchup and coffee to dirty the mop pads and test how well the dock cleaned them. The dock did a good job removing the mess from the pads, but the V50 left residue on the floor, went outside the small zone I set, and stained my bath mats with the dirty pads. Based on this and my earlier sticky mopping test, I would give the V50 a failing grade for mopping on a strict pass/fail scale.

Hello! Thank you for your feedback.
If you find the cleaning performance unsatisfactory during use, please try checking the following:
Is the dustbin full and in need of cleaning? (Central self-emptying models can empty automatically and usually do not have this issue.)
Is the filter clogged and in need of cleaning?
Is the main brush tangled with debris and in need of cleaning?
Is the suction power level set too low? Please try increasing the suction parameter.
Regarding your mention of the robot entering other areas, please also check the following situations:
In daily use, if the robot experiences path confusion, please check:
Before cleaning: Please tidy up loose items on the floor, such as power strips, toys, and slippers. This will prevent frequent collisions during cleaning, which can cause path confusion.
During cleaning: If the drive wheels are stuck with debris, dusty, or oily, please clean them promptly to avoid abnormal movement.
During cleaning: If the robot collides multiple times during cleaning, it will temporarily move along the edge before resuming the standard bow-shaped cleaning pattern.
If the issue occurs frequently: If the robot often experiences path confusion, we recommend updating the firmware to the latest version, resetting the map, and then re-mapping your home.
For obstacle-avoidance models: Please try wiping the sensor lenses to keep them clean.
