Leaves lots of debris on low pile rug

Is there a trick to get this to better pick
up debris on a low pile rug? I put it on maximum suction but it misses a lot. Never gets the pet hair. Leaves tiny little pieces of litter the cat tracks and I have to use my trusty $100 shark robot vacuum to go back over it

This machine is not suitable for carpets with a pile height exceeding 2 centimeters. Please check the pile height of your carpet. You may send us photos if you are unsure. Excessively long carpet fibers will disrupt the robot’s cleaning path, cause hair to wrap around the wheels, reduce cleaning efficiency and shorten the machine’s service life.
We recommend cleaning the carpet separately with a handheld vacuum cleaner.
