I swapped mine out for tent stakes. They are much more flat and hold it fine, but I'm not in a high wind area. Much easier to move the station for cleaning, etc.
Tent stakes would definitely work! I am surprised that the spiral of the stake doesn’t prevent this from happening more. It doesn’t happen for me at all. I’ve actually only used 4 out of the 6 holes as well. Tightening them down at a slight angle may help from them popping up too.
We apologize for the trouble you encountered. We recommend securing the charging station to soft, flat ground with ground stakes. If left unfixed, the dock may shift during docking, which will stop the robot from connecting properly with the charging station. Moreover, long-term use without ground stakes may cause deformation of the station’s base plate. If the fixing screws still keep loosening and sticking up due to strong winds, preventing the robot from docking normally, you may try your alternative solution.
