[Lidax Ultra 2000 AWD] LiDAR temperature is high

OK, it's blazing hot in FL today, this message is likely true.  The message ends with "Mowing will resume after it cools down."  Does this happen?  It's been hours, and the Robot is still sitting in its garage.  If it waits until the air is cool, it will be too dark to see where it's going.  It also sometimes says "Unable to reach the designated location." Is this related?  Why can this happen, it drives the same yard every time? A mower that doesn't work on the days that grass is growing seems like a poor design choice.

My 3000 mows in total darkness, it’s actually very impressive
It is true that if the battery and the lidar gets too hot, it will shut down. It should be able to mow in the dark just fine with no issues.

Unable to reach the designated area is not related to any of this. It means that it detected an obstacle in the way/its path that it cannot get around.

Thank you very much for your feedback. Regarding your issue the robot triggers protection due to overheated LiDAR, please refer to the troubleshooting steps below. We hope this information is helpful. Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
When the robot detects that the LiDAR temperature is too high, it will activate the protection mechanism to prevent hardware damage.
Protection mechanism:
- Without map: The robot stays in place and resumes work after the LiDAR cools down.
- With map: The robot automatically returns to the dock and continues working once the temperature drops.
Possible causes:
1. Operating for a long time in high-temperature environments (e.g., direct sunlight at noon)
2. Dust or grass debris covering the LiDAR surface, which impairs heat dissipation
3. LiDAR hardware failure
Troubleshooting steps:
1. Pause the robot and move it to a cool, shaded area.
2. Power off the robot and wait for the LiDAR to cool naturally (about 15–30 minutes).
3. Clean dust and grass debris from the LiDAR surface.
4. Restart the robot.
Recommendations to prevent recurrence:
- Avoid scheduling mowing during hot noon hours.
- Clean the LiDAR regularly to maintain good heat dissipation.
- Use a sunshade for the robot if necessary. We suggest you use the robot under normal temperature conditions and observe whether the error still occurs. If you need us to further analyze the cause, please provide the time when the error appeared, your robot SN number and upload your mowing logs. We look forward to your reply if needed.

Interesting suggestions, but mowing in the afternoon leads to getting rained on in FL.  Perhaps I will see how evening mowing pans out.
