In this video I’m showing two features that I really like during regular daily cleaning.
First, you can see the LED light turn on when it moves into a darker corner of the room. LiDAR can technically navigate without light, but having that extra light helps the cameras detect objects more clearly. In areas that don’t get much natural light, it gives the robot a little extra visibility which is really cool. It’s something older robots I’ve used did not have and it feels like a good upgrade.
The second thing I’m showing in this video is the automatic carpet detection. When it moves onto the small area rug, you can actually hear the suction increase. It kicks into a higher power mode right away, then drops back down once it returns to the hardwood. It’s seamless and you don’t have to manually change anything in the app.
It also navigates smoothly. It picks up the rug well, follows the edges cleanly, and does not bump into the walls or surrounding furniture.
So far it feels very aware of its environment and adapts automatically depending on the surface it’s cleaning. Definitely impressed with how it handles transitions between hard floors and rugs.
