One feature I was especially excited to try was the Step Master capability that allows the robot to climb over obstacles that are higher than a typical robot vacuum could handle. In the app, you can set passable threshold areas around your house so the vacuum knows when it should activate the Step Master legs to climb over objects. I really like that you have full control over this feature. For example, if an area is close to stairs, you can simply avoid setting it as passable so there’s no risk of the vacuum attempting to climb where it shouldn’t.
With kids in the house constantly leaving out magnet tiles and other toys, this feature has been incredibly useful. I can mark their play areas as passable thresholds so the vacuum can still reach and clean those rooms instead of getting blocked by toys on the floor.
I’m honestly impressed with how many features are packed into the Z60 Ultra. The functionality seems endless, and the app’s user interface is very intuitive and easy to navigate. It’s by far the best robot vacuum I’ve owned and also the first vacuum and mop combo I’ve used. I run it daily and it hasn’t slowed down at all.
Like any robot vacuum, there is some occasional maintenance required such as cleaning the dock tray or checking the brushes. Thankfully, the app tracks the lifespan of components and provides reminders when it’s a good time to clean or replace parts to prevent clogs or performance issues.
