In this video, I’m showing a feature that I didn’t expect to be as useful as it has turned out to be. There’s a thicker play mat area in my home that some robot vacuums have struggled with in the past. Many of them either avoid it completely or get stuck when trying to climb onto it. The Z60 handled it very well. You can see in the video how it actually lifts itself slightly to get over the edge of the mat. It raises up, moves forward, and settles onto the surface without getting stuck or needing any help. Once it gets onto the mat, you can also hear the suction increase automatically as it detects the carpet. It immediately switches to a higher power mode to clean the fibers more effectively. This is a pretty cool feature, and it makes the robot much more capable in areas where the flooring transitions aren’t perfectly flat. It’s definitely helpful for homes that have play mats, thicker rugs, or slightly raised surfaces.
