MOVA Z60 Get & Create User Review

Disclosure: I was selected to participate in MOVA's "Get & Create" event. If all goes right, I should be able to keep this MOVA Z60 robot vacuum in exchange for my honest opinions. MOVA did not direct what or how I review, other than the number of photo and video postings.

I was genuinely surprised and happy to be selected for this event. So, why me and my family? We are not influencers nor professional content creators.  Maybe because: 1) we are already MOVA V50 owners; 2) my wife and I are stay‑at‑home, work‑from‑home adults and we spend 24 hours a day at home on most days, often making a mess in 70% of the house; 3) we are the proud parents of a 16‑year‑old student who does her teenaged‑best to make a mess in the remainder of the house;  and 4) our 6‑year‑old Yorkie, Candy, has free roam of our abode.

Our house is 4,300 square feet, and the lower floor plan is an open layout.  This is where the Z60 will be tested--there is a mix of hardwood and carpet in the main rooms, and tile in the full bath. There are plenty of angles, nooks, and floor materials to challenge the Z60.

First off, let me say the MOVA Z60 box is large and heavy for good reason. The well‑cushioned box is stuffed full of goodies in addition to the vacuum and base station. No need to buy accessories for a while, as this “complete” set has lots of spares. The air filters are great to swap in and out as they get dirty. You can wash one or two while a clean one is inserted. No waiting for a single filter to dry.

The main attraction, the roller brush, has been incredible. Compared to our MOVA V50… well, there is no comparison. The mop cleans and scrubs, and the extending roller arm is functional and cool to watch. The roller mop definitely picks up a lot of dirt and this is from a no‑shoes house with the MOVA V50 running on an every‑other‑day schedule.

Of course, there are limitations: it will not mop up a mess that you’d have to get on your hands and knees to scrub, nor will it be good for large spills. I had reasonable expectations of the mopping performance, and I have not been disappointed. However, there were some curious events, such as the roller stopping and then starting again, causing a portion of the floor to be missed. I hope these events are ironed out as the Z60 explores our spaces some more.

No odors yet, and I have intentionally not cleaned anything. I’ve only filled the water and emptied the wastewater.

The noise level depends on your settings. The quieter the vacuum, the less suction. This is not the case for the roller mop, which is very quiet no matter what.

Vacuuming is mid‑tier so far. While it is picking up a lot of dust and pet dander (and that can’t be overlooked as a great thing), it missed some larger pieces. While set to “quiet” suction power and “standard” route, it missed a bunch of colored paper. That said, the MOVA V50 also missed picking up the pieces when following up. I think setting it to “standard” suction power and “intensive” route would pick up the card paper.

The navigation has been surprisingly poor, with head‑scratching moments of the Z60 just spinning and standing still. I’ve observed it stopping at a rubber mat and instead of moving straight ahead, it makes a “P”‑shaped maneuver to get onto the mat. In our music room, it ran into our drum seat multiple times and tried to climb the legs with the entire front end off the carpet.  It also decided to run into our piano pedals multiple times.

So far, this is a solid robot vacuum with some shortcomings. There may be settings I need to fiddle with to get the best out of the Z60.

More to come… I’ll document and post what I observe.
