Hi All! I'm back again with another post about the Mova Z60 Ultra Complete, this time highlighting how it can tackle high thresholds to make sure no room is left unclean! Disclaimer: I did get this as part of Mova's Get and Create Program.
What I did is I took a 2x4 and placed it leading into one of our rooms. The 2x4 is roughly 1.5in tall which puts it near the top of the StepMaster's single threshold clearance of 1.89in (3.15in for dual layer thresholds). As the series of pictures attached shows, the robot first confirms that an obstacle is there by gently bumping into it. It then backs up, extends it's StepMaster 2.0 legs and essentially heaves itself over the obstacle, folding the extended legs and landing back on it wheels. It then lowers itself back down into it's normal position, does a spin to orient itself and continues on its way.
Overall, it tackled the 1.5in threshold with zero problems, completed it's cleaning and then crossed the threshold again with no issues. One thing to keep in mind is that you'll want to go into the app and make sure the map has a cross able threshold in the area where it will need to use the StepMaster. It will show as a green line in the map. I have included a picture of that as well.
