I noticed the Z60's vacuum performance had been dropping off over the past week or so. Floors weren't as clean, the rug was collecting visible debris between runs. So I flipped the robot over to investigate.
The culprit: a Lifesavers candy wrapper had gotten sucked in and lodged near the main brush intake. On its own that wouldn't be a big deal, but the wrapper created a catch point that accumulated hair, dust, and rug fibers over many daily runs until the whole intake path was clogged. The hairball I pulled out was impressive in the worst way.
One design note worth mentioning. The Z60's debris path to the dustbin is offset to the side rather than centered. That offset creates more opportunity for something like a wrapper to snag and snowball into a clog over time. My MOVA P10 Pro Ultra has a centered intake path and I've never had this issue with it. It's not a dealbreaker but it's something I'd like to see MOVA address in future hardware revisions.
The fix took about five minutes. Pulled the main brush, removed the clog, and put everything back together. Suction was immediately back to full power and the rug was clean again after one run.
Takeaway: if you have pets or rugs, flip your Z60 over every couple weeks and check the main brush area. It takes five minutes and prevents a slow performance drop you might not even notice until your floors start looking rough. The robot is doing its job, it just needs a quick checkup now and then. Same as any robot vacuum I've owned.
Gallery: three angles of the clogged underside, the roller area after cleaning it out, and everything I pulled from inside (last photo is all of it).
Full disclosure: I received this Z60 through MOVA's Get & Create program at no cost in exchange for honest feedback. #sponsored
