Full Disclosure: I received the MOVA Z60 Ultra through MOVA’s Get & Create program at no cost in exchange for sharing my honest experience. That said, everything here reflects my real-world use of the vacuum in my own home. My goal isn’t to make staged or overly polished cleaning content—I’m interested in seeing how well this robot performs in everyday living conditions. MOVA also made it clear they want honest feedback, not just positive reviews, so here’s another issue I’ve run into.
I set my Z60 Ultra to clean my apartment, which is about 1,100–1,200 square feet total. For this run, it’s covering most of the main living areas—one bedroom, both bathrooms, the living room, dining area, and kitchen—so probably around 800–900 square feet of actual cleaning space.
I ran into an issue last night that happened again today. I left for a while (went out for St. Patrick’s Day dinner), and when I came back, the vacuum had completely died in the middle of the floor. It didn’t make its way back to the dock to recharge. It just stopped where it was once the battery ran out.
From what I understand, it’s supposed to pause the cleaning job, return to the dock, recharge, and then resume where it left off. That setting is turned on in my app, so it should be doing that automatically. But instead, I had to physically pick it up and place it back on the dock myself.
Today, it looks like the same thing happened again. At one point, I wasn’t even sure where it was, and I was hoping it hadn’t died under my bed. Sure enough, that’s exactly where it ended up—completely dead and stuck under there, which is a pain to deal with.
After I put it back on the dock last night and let it charge, it also didn’t resume cleaning on its own. I had to go into the app and manually send it back out, and I ended up just telling it to finish my bedroom instead of restarting the full job.
While I was picking it up, I noticed something else. The protective shield that’s supposed to drop down over the roller—so carpets don’t get wet during mopping—hadn’t deployed. I have that feature enabled, so it should have been working.
On top of that, it didn’t mop during this run, and when I checked the roller, it was still wet. The dock is supposed to clean and dry it, but it doesn’t seem like the drying function is working either.
So far, this is the second time I’ve run into these issues, and they’re definitely things I’m keeping an eye on.
