Hey everyone! I wanted to highlight the threshold jumping feature of the Mova Z60, as it is a feature I personally have never used before and this is the first vacuum I have owned that includes it. This was also the first time I had a robot that needed to get over a threshold, and I was impressed by the options available and how it performed.
The first time I created the map, I placed a passable threshold at the doorway and then resumed mapping. Once placed, it appeared on the map as a green rectangle and worked perfectly. In addition to this, you can see in the settings the option to use a hurdle mode or a synchronized crossing with both wheels. When it comes to which is better, I think you should test both on your own threshold and see what works best. In my specific case, the hurdle mode did not work because the wheels could not grip the smooth stone floor, but raising both wheels at the same time allowed the front to go over and successfully cross.
One con I did notice is that the robot lowers back down a bit too soon, which causes it to almost dip into the tile after clearing the threshold. This might be improved by adding a longer hold on the raised position and possibly making it customizable so users can choose to keep the current timing or extend it.
