I wanted to see how well the MOVA Z60’s dock actually cleans the roller mop, because I feel like nobody really focuses on this pretty important feature. So I decided to go all in and made a huge mess on my floor using coffee, sriracha, mustard, and jelly. Basically, I wanted to get the roller as dirty as possible and see what the dock could really handle.
Just to be clear, this was definitely a torture test. The Z60 even sent a notification through the app telling me to manually clean the mess, so it knew this was way beyond normal use.
Under normal mopping conditions (everyday mopping, coffee spills, etc.), the dock actually cleans and dries the roller very well. I wiped the roller with a paper towel after a cleaning cycle (before drying), and there was basically no visible residue.
That wasn’t the case with this test. The roller didn’t come out as dirty as the mess I put down, which honestly surprised me, but it was still noticeably dirty after the dock cleaned it. Also, and I feel this is important to add and not related to the docks cleaning performance, the little wheel in the front of the Z60 had some mustard caked into it, but the main brush, side brush, and side wheels were spotless.
