The Mova Z60 has had nearly perfect obstacle avoidance these first few weeks. I managed to trip it up with a cable once, but that might have been because I dropped it too close. I think the robot looks out a decent ways to find obstacles, rather than waiting for them to be right in front of it. When i moved it up stairs, i was very nervous about the balcony drop off and the starirs, but the Z60 has flawlessly edged both lines without falling. It helps that you can add non-passable threasholds onto the map so the Mova has its own sensors and the map as a saftey redundancy.
