[Easter] Seriously Stupid Tip!

When you first unbox your LiDAX Ultra 2000/3000 AWD Robot Lawn Mower, it’s easy to overlook some of the smaller packaging pieces, especially the ones that seem like they’re just there for shipping protection.

One piece in particular deserves your attention: the LiDAR protective cover!

At first glance, the cover might seem insignificant, like something you remove and toss without a second thought. I almost did exactly that. But here’s the thing: it actually plays an important role in protecting one of the most critical components of your mower.

The LiDAR system is what allows your robot mower to map, navigate, and operate efficiently. Keeping it in good condition is essential for long-term performance.

Before mapping or using your mower, make sure to remove the LiDAR protective cover. Leaving it on can interfere with the mower’s ability to “see” its surroundings and function properly.

That same cover becomes incredibly useful later:
- Storage (especially winter months) – Protects the LiDAR from dust, debris, and accidental damage
- Maintenance – Helps prevent scratches while you’re cleaning or working on the mower
- Transport – Adds an extra layer of protection if you need to move the unit

It’s a small detail, but one that can save you from unnecessary wear and tear. So before you toss that “extra” piece from the box like I almost did - make sure to think twice!

And yes, the Easter bunny photo might’ve caught your attention 🐰… but if it helps even one person avoid throwing away their LiDAR cover, it did its job.

This is actually a great tip — those “throwaway” parts always end up being the most useful later 😄

I don’t have a LiDAX yet, but this reminds me of something similar with my MOVA vacuums. I started using scale inhibitors across my Mobius 60, Z60 Ultra Roller, and Z60 SA, and it made a noticeable difference in long-term maintenance, especially with water systems and mopping performance.

It’s funny how small things like a LiDAR cover or water treatment can have a big impact on durability and performance over time. Definitely one of those “learn once, benefit forever” moments 👍
