[Lidax Ultra 3000 AWD] Thinking

I still cannot decide whether to pick this up or not. I've never had a robotic mower, just a vacuum for the house that works great. I've got a decent yard that I can ride to mow but generally push because of the steep slope. I'm pretty sure it's not past the mower's ability for the slope. It's also pretty uneven in a lot of places. There's hardly any tree coverage; it does stay a little wet due to not a lot of sunlight getting through the trees that are on a hill above my house, nothing I can do about that. Maybe keeping the grass trimmed with this will keep it from staying wet also. It's a lot of money to throw out there if this mower doesn't end up working like I think it will. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Definitely get the AWD version for a heavily sloped lawn. I think it will tackle it well.

I seen your review on the 2000AWD. I think I overlooked the wheels topic or just forgot about it. Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for describing your yard conditions and concerns in such detail.

Based on your description, the Lidax Ultra 3000 AWD does sound like a model worth serious consideration, especially compared to regular robotic lawnmowers:

The all-wheel drive (AWD) design is specifically tailored for steeper slopes and uneven terrain, giving it an edge over regular robotic lawnmowers. If your slope is within the recommended range, it should handle more reliably than a push mower, especially after long-term use.

Robotic lawnmowers typically perform short, frequent mowing, which helps reduce lawn moisture rather than allowing the grass to grow longer.

Before purchasing, could you provide a photo of the area you need to mow to assess the slope and whether it will affect daily use.

I’ll definitely have to do the AWD. Pretty sure the others will not make it.
How’s the turning? I live out in the woods so presentation isn’t that important but I’d rather not have a lot of ruts and holes throughout the yard where it does its turning around for the next pass. I haven’t seen many complaints about it but have seen a few concerns with how the Omni-wheels do.

Hi, AWD features Near-Zero Turning Radius with Omni-Wheels, and the maximum climbing angle can reach 80% (38.6°). These are listed on the official website.
