V50 Ultra Complete Won't Turn On

I tried setting my new V50 Ultra Complete up last night when I immediately ran into problems. As shown in the video, the robot doesn’t seem to charge on the base station. In addition,  when I plug the base station in, it makes a strange grinding noise and will stop drawing power in about 10 minutes. This happens with and without the robot in the base station. In order to turn the base station back on, I have to unplug it for 3 full seconds.

I have cleaned all contacts on both the robot and the base station (including the plug contacts) and checked for protective film, stableized the cord (in case it might be broken), filled all the liquid containers as directed, and even tried to connect it to wifi before it shuts down in case it needs a software update. No amount of Googling returns any answers for me. Reddit has no suggestions for me. Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

When the robot docks with the base station, it will power on automatically. If the docking is successful, you should hear a soft “click” sound.

As for the strange grinding noise, it may be caused by the robot’s wheels rubbing against the anti-slip strips on the ramp during docking — this is considered normal.

A white light on the base station indicates that it is properly connected to power. After the robot is fully charged, the light will turn off automatically after about 10 minutes. If Do Not Disturb mode is enabled, both the robot and base station lights will turn off after 30 seconds.

We recommend checking whether the mop pads and the base station’s extension plate are correctly installed, then try manually docking the robot again.
