Despite the V50’s excellent brush design, occasional maintenance is still necessary. In these images, I show a small cat toy fragment that was swept up during normal operation and needed removal. Accessing the brush area is quick and tool‑free, so routine checks are painless.
Step‑by‑step maintenance:
1) Pinch the arrow tabs together.
2) Lift the cover to expose the brush compartment.
3) Lift out the dual‑brush unit.
4) Perform maintenance: remove debris, cut away tangled threads, and wipe the housing.
5) Reassemble by reversing the steps above.
After removing the brushes, it’s a good idea to vacuum or blow out any dust that has collected underneath. On this run, there wasn’t much buildup, and I found no hair wrapped around the rotors, but your mileage may vary depending on pets and floor types.
Regular checks keep performance optimal and prevent motor strain. Quick inspections every few weeks are all it takes to keep the V50 running smoothly. TranslateView Original Text
