[V50 Ultra Complete] Lowering lidar doesn’t seem to work

Last edited by GP321955 on 2025-12-30 13:29

I’ve had my Mova V50 for a couple weeks. I have not yet had it lower the lidar to go under low furniture. I can tell the body will fit if it will lower the
Lidar. I have the Auto LDS setting as Security coverage. Why won’t it lower to go under furniture? Should I change the setting to extreme coverage?  It says it can cause scratches to the unit

Hello,

Please make sure that the clearance under your furniture is sufficient.

Have you also marked the area under the furniture as a “Low Clearance Zone”? If not, please add it first.

If you select the “Safe Coverage” mode, the robot will lower its LDS module to clean under furniture with a height between 98 mm and 135 mm. If your furniture has a clearance between 89.5 mm and 98 mm, you can choose the “Extreme Coverage” mode to allow the robot to enter and clean those tighter spaces.

However, if the underside of the furniture has any protrusions or is uneven, this mode may cause the top of the robot to get stuck. Please ensure the bottom surface is flat before enabling this feature.
