Ran over dog poop

The robot’s been great overall, but it recently had an accident where it didn’t avoid dog poop. The sensors were clean, yet it ran right through it, tracked poop all over my wooden floors, and ruined my rug. To make it worse, the poop got compacted into the wheels, their housings, and the dust container. Even after taking it apart, it’s almost impossible to fully clean. I’m going to have to get rid of the vacuum now.

Sorry to hear this. Typically I would say Mova’s robots are excellent at detecting and avoiding dog excrement. Sounds like you got unlucky! It’s definitely an impossible task getting those clean once it’s happened. You can try the following:

1. Turn the robot off before doing any cleaning.
2. Check each wheel by rotating it with your hand, and remove any debris using paper towels or disposable gloves.
3. Wipe down the wheels and any contaminated areas with a damp cloth or disinfecting wipe. A soft brush and mild soap can help if anything is stuck.
4. Once everything is clean, dry the wheels and surrounding areas completely before using the robot again.
