Hello,
To prevent secondary contamination of carpets, the side brush will automatically lift up and stop working when the robot cleans on carpets. We have forwarded this issue to the relevant team. Please wait patiently for optimization in subsequent firmware updates.
The robot already gets very close to walls during mopping; getting any nearer would raise the risk of collisions. Besides, the side brush can extend out of the body to clean along the right side of walls, clearing dust along wall edges to meet daily household cleaning demands.
① The robot is equipped with wall-following sensors. Maintaining a fixed distance from walls during cleaning is part of its normal design.
② The unit supports intelligent dynamic edge cleaning. When enabled, sensors on the right side detect walls, automatically narrow the gap, and swing the body slightly to cover missed areas from straight-line edge cleaning and reduce residual dirt along walls.
The side brush only extends outward under the following conditions:
It pops out once the robot detects interior right-angle corners during operation, and retracts right after leaving the corner area.
When cleaning along edges under cabinets or furniture with recessed bottoms, the side brush will extend only if the recess depth exceeds 2.5 cm and recess height exceeds 1.5 cm simultaneously.
If the robot travels back and forth repeatedly on carpets, please check your carpet material. Thin carpets with smooth surfaces may cause unstable detection. You can manually add carpet zones or no-mop/no-sweep zones/virtual walls via Map Management in the APP to improve cleaning efficiency.
All functional issues you mentioned will be sent to the product team for further upgrades. We sincerely apologize that the robot ran over wires. This robot adopts triple obstacle avoidance technology; please troubleshoot following the steps below:
The robot can detect obstacles and slow down in advance for buffer. However, it may fail to detect dark, reflective, tiny table legs or low obstacles without slowing down beforehand, which is normal. You can add virtual walls or restricted zones in Map Editing of the APP to avoid such areas.
Confirm the AI Intelligent Recognition toggle is turned on in the APP. Wipe the AI lens regularly with a soft dry cloth to remove fingerprints and dust.
The robot will slow down and make gentle contact with flexible obstacles like curtains or slightly ajar doors, which is normal.
Dim ambient light weakens visual recognition performance. We recommend using this function under sufficient lighting.
Cluttered home environments will prolong AI recognition response time. Please tidy up the floor beforehand.
This robot supports OTA online upgrades. MOVA keeps optimizing obstacle avoidance algorithms, so please check and update the firmware regularly.
If none of the above solutions work for your issue, please record a video showing the abnormal operation of the robot, upload fault logs in the APP, and send us your device SN code. We will arrange technical staff to remotely inspect your machine and reply to you as soon as possible. |
