[V50 Ultra Complete] V50 Ultra Can't Keep Up With The Dogs

I bought the Mova V50 Ultra around Christmas time based on a YouTube reviewer that compared several models fairly extensively, and the fact it was on sale at Amazon. I also bought the P10 Pro at the same time as it was also on sale and not as expensive, lacking some of the bells & whistles of the V50 Ultra but still high in the reviews.

These would be my 3rd & 4th robot vacuums. The first was an early generation Roomba that failed to impress, and the next was a Shark that perpetually needed attention or saving from situations of it's own creation. Neither did more than vacuum.

These two perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The idea was for the V50 Ultra to clean the Kitchen, Dining room, Family room, two guest bedrooms and the hall at night, while the P10 Pro cleaned the Master bedroom, Mudroom, Laundry room, Office & Hall during the morning.

The V50 Ultra is a PITA, needing to be cleaned out on an almost daily basis and finding ways to pause it's cleaning routine and failing to restart on schedule unless it can be coaxed into completed its previous task

The P10 Pro is amazingly reliable, although it does like to attempt to climb the legs of my keyboard or mic stand and get hung up, something our old Shark was famous for.

The biggest issue both face is dog hair. I have a pair of medium sized mutts with fur similar to what a German Shepard has.  They shed in epic proportions.  While the P10 Pro handles this fairly well, the V50 Ultra does not, the vacuum fills up with hair fails to discharge it at the dock and then runs around doing effectively nothing.

The wife is thinking of replacing the V50 Ultra with another P10 Pro, and If this current overhaul and defurring doesn't work, she may get her wish.

Hello, thank you for sharing your detailed usage experience. Based on your description, the issue is most likely caused by large amounts of pet hair and fibrous debris.
Hair and fluffy dust tend to clog air ducts easily, and the auto-empty base station cannot fully discharge this type of debris automatically.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. At present, we recommend that you manually clean the dust bin and air ducts regularly.
Running the robot more frequently reduces hair accumulation and greatly lowers the risk of air duct blockages.
Additionally, please check the drive wheels, omnidirectional wheels and the base ramp for tangled debris and dirt, and clear any foreign objects if found.
Inspect the drive wheels and base entrance for water stains, and wipe all wet areas dry promptly.
If the problem persists after completing all the above checks, please contact our after-sales team directly for equipment repair service. We will prioritize your case if your unit is still under warranty. Thank you for your cooperation.
