Have had the 3000 for about 2 weeks now and mowing appx 0.7 of an acre with flat terrain with no trees. Have an eero mesh system inside with additional outdoor AP’s running on WiFi 7; coverage is not an issue. Unit was mapped during mid-day with more than adequate light. Running lates firmware and software.
EVERY time this mows it will loose its base station at the end and not by a foot or so, but close to 20-30 feet. Also if you take the map and split a zone in edit mode it will relocate the station a huge distance away. Mind you the robot was always sitting inside of its charging dock during the zone split edit.
If you restore the map it will not adjust the base station to its original point, so you HAVE to re-map.
Phone support has been AWFUL; all they can do is record your issue and say senior support will respond in 1-3 days. They cannot escalate a call to a supervisor (per their agents they are physically restricted from doing transfers). According to several agents only a supervisor can transfer to senior support but supervisors are not allowed to place outbound calls, so it’s a “dead loop” since you can’t talk to a supervisor. Senior support is also not allowed to make outbound calls. Lates update was they will provide a new firmware and software update “next” month to try and fix….
Chat support just points you to the manual …
I also tried during one of the re-maps to use the AI feature, and after setting up some barriers it failed and said to talk with support. When calling support on this they said we’re not trained on AI and to do the setup manually. One guy even said he’s scared of AI.
Lastly, … this thing overheats just sitting there and says wait till cooler. Sure I get it, I’m in Texas, but my neighbors unit doesn’t have this issue. Per support they recommend putting the mower inside and having a gate to get outside ….. no words here. Recommend they offer a white version and bundle the cover with the unit.
Desperately want this thing to work, but so far it’s just absolutely useless and what’s more frustrating than the mapping is the support.
Also the front wheel cover pops off ALL the time
Had high hopes
For $3k you expect some professional support and some live troubleshooting, but nope all you get is some random that’s reading the guidebook.
