When she first brought up getting a robot vacuum, he said absolutely not. Not in this house, not on these carpets, not anywhere near the baseboards. He had concerns.
“What if it doesn’t clean well?”
“What if it mops the carpet?”
“What if it leaves little dings on the trim?”
So many questions about a robot vacuum…
She was just trying to reduce the endless time spent vacuuming and mopping so they could enjoy their time together. Fast forward to today.
The robot vacuum now has a name. He checks the app more than social media. He narrates its cleaning path like it’s a playoff game. He gently wipes its sensors with a microfiber cloth and whispering, “Atta girl.”
The carpets? Perfect.
The baseboards? No dings.
The relationship? Stronger than ever.
He may currently spend more time watching the robot vacuum clean than he ever spent actually cleaning himself. But in his defense, it is the most fascinating thing to watch ever.
And while he would never publicly admit she was right…
He is very glad she made him pull the trigger and their relationship is stronger than ever because of it. But if the robot ever gets more serious upgrades… she might need to start competing. Don’t get us started on what the dog thinks! TranslateView Original Text
