Mapping results and app experience

Once the fast mapping was completed, the attached map was generated. Honestly, I am disappointed in the map it generated. For context, my apartment is 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms, a single living room, and a dining room attached to the kitchen. Somehow, it identified way too many areas, like multiple kitchens and dining rooms.

Now, I know these can be easily fixed in the app, but for comparison, my Ecovacs T20 Omni did way better on first-time mapping. It was not perfect, but at least it correctly identified the two bedrooms and bathrooms. I will either try to map again or just spend some time fixing the mapping.

Quick comment on the app: it's pretty good, easy to navigate, and offers a lot of options with good explanations for each. I wish there were a restore default option, though. It may be there somewhere, but I couldn't spot it.

If there are glass surfaces or mirrors in the environment, the robot may mistakenly identify non‑existent spaces during mapping.

For glass and mirrors, we recommend covering the lower 15 cm or so. This can effectively prevent mapping confusion caused by reflections.
