Unboxing impressions of the luxury car of vacuums

One of the most surprising aspects of the Z60 was the extensive range of accessories that came with it. It truly is a comprehensive package! I didn’t anticipate finding a full box of replacement parts, along with the ones already attached. Having bought several different brands in the past, including Shark, iRobot, and Neato, none of them had this many accessories. This makes me feel more confident in the setup and provides better value since I won’t have to purchase replacements anytime soon.

Another unexpected feature was the inclusion of an actual manual. It was a pleasant surprise to have a physical manual. While I am quite tech-savvy, I sometimes prefer to hold a booklet and find the information I need rather than searching on a computer. This approach demonstrates both ease of use and transparency. I can refer to the manual anytime without worrying about finding the information elsewhere. Providing this level of detail shows that you value the product’s performance and want everyone to understand it. It’s an attention to detail that is often overlooked, but it’s something you would expect for the price of a unit.  It reminds me of when I get into a higher end car brand, there is an expectation for things to be perfect and for there to be extra thought put into the design.

Speaking of design- Next to my Mova P10 Pro, the Z60 has a smaller stance, which I prefer. I always felt the P10 was slightly too tall for most homes, but fortunately, I have a layout that works well with it. I’ve always thought I’d prefer white, as my previous two vacuums were black, and white always gives a premium tech look to me. However, after having a white vacuum for over a year, I’m glad to see the Z60 is black. The white vacuum picked up so much dirt, especially on the base ramp, that I constantly had to clean it. Hopefully, some of that will be resolved with the Z60’s color choice. My house, with two dogs and three adults, will certainly give it a challenge. I do think the black blends more or less into the background. Once again, it gives a luxury car feel with the combination of matte black and piano black.

The biggest thing I noticed beyond its visual appeal is the actual weight of the robot vacuum. The Z60 is the heaviest of any robot vacuum I’ve held yet. That’s not a complaint, because it feels like the weight of a full upright vacuum. I’ll be curious to see if that translates to better cleaning. I almost feel like there should be a notch or handle to hold it if you want to pick it up. It was quite unexpected, and since the legs and wheels move when you lift it, my first instinct was not to impede that movement and move my hands closer to the edge. However, like a luxury car, I expect a heavy-quality build.

Overall, I was blown away by what was included and how it was packaged. Now, it’s time for the true tests of performance.
