MOVA Z60 Ultra Roller Complete – Unboxing and First Impressions
Hi, I'm Joe, and today I'm taking a look at the MOVA Z60 Ultra Roller Complete.
I was selected by MOVA to participate in their Get and Create program. Full disclosure: if I complete a few tasks—mainly sharing my honest reviews and experiences with this vacuum—I get to keep it. So that's a pretty great opportunity. Other than that, there are no strings attached. I haven't used the vacuum yet, so this first post is simply going to be an unboxing and first look.
My Cleaning Routine (And Why I Wanted a Robot Vacuum)
Before we get into the unboxing, it's probably worth explaining why I was interested in something like the Z60 Ultra Roller Complete in the first place.
I'm a bit obsessed with keeping my floors clean. My current routine is honestly a little ridiculous.
Here's what it looks like:
Sweep with a regular broom
Mop with a spin mop and bucket
Use a Swiffer WetJet
Once that dries, use a steam mop to remove any cleaning residue
Finish with a Swiffer dry duster to pick up hair and dust
The Swiffer dry pad is actually my test of how clean the floors really are.
If there are crumbs or debris, I also use a regular vacuum to clean areas like the toe kicks under the cabinets in the kitchen.
My apartment is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit in Kansas City, about 1,000 square feet. The bathrooms, kitchen, and dining areas are luxury vinyl plank, while the bedrooms are carpet. I also have a few rugs throughout the apartment.
So the idea of something that can vacuum and mop automatically is very appealing.
Researching Robot Vacuums
I’ve actually been researching robot vacuums for a long time.
The problem is that I'm the type of person who researches things to the point of exhaustion. I tend to fall into what I call analysis paralysis—I compare models, read reviews, and analyze specs until I either give up or a newer model comes out.
That’s part of why I was excited when this opportunity came up. It lets me try a high-end model like the MOVA Z60 Ultra Roller Complete without having to commit to buying one first.
From everything I've read so far, MOVA is a solid company in the robotic vacuum space, so I'm really curious to see how this performs.
First Look: The Docking Station
The first big component in the box is the dock station.
This is where the vacuum will charge and where all the automated cleaning happens. The dock includes:
A clean water tank
A dirty water tank
The charging base
When the vacuum returns to the dock, the mop system is actually washed and maintained automatically, which is one of the features that makes this system interesting.
Roller Mop System
One of the standout features of the Z60 Ultra Roller Complete is its roller mop design.
Unlike some robot mops that drag a pad across the floor, this system continuously cleans the mop roller while it’s in use.
It uses:
A squeegee system to clean the roller
Water jets that continuously add fresh water
In theory, that means you're always mopping with a clean surface, rather than spreading dirty water around the floor.
We'll see how well that works once I actually start using it.
First Impressions of the Robot
The robot itself feels very solid and well built.
It's actually a little heavier than I expected, and slightly taller too. That said, it should still fit under my TV stand and under the cabinet toe kicks in the kitchen, which are areas that tend to collect dust and debris.
When I briefly powered it on, it immediately started giving voice prompts like:
“Start charging”
“Start cleaning”
“Please place me in an open area before starting the task”
So the system definitely seems designed to guide you through setup.
Meet Milo
Before continuing with the unboxing, I should introduce my assistant.
My French bulldog Milo.
He’s a short-haired Frenchie and, like most dogs, he contributes his share of messes. His kibble sometimes gets stuck in his cheeks and ends up scattered around the kitchen, and he’s also a bit of a messy drinker.
So having something that can automatically clean up after him will definitely be helpful.
While he does shed a little, it's not excessive. Still, I often see dog hair on the Swiffer pads, so it will be interesting to see how the Z60 Ultra Roller Complete handles pet hair.
Accessories Included
The vacuum also comes with a surprising number of accessories.
Inside the accessory box were:
Multi-surface hard floor cleaner
Pet odor cleaning solution
Three dust collection bags for the dock
Two extra corner brushes
Additional brush rollers
Extra filters
The dust bags are supposed to last around 60–75 days before needing to be replaced.
Another feature of the system is that the rollers are cleaned with very hot water (around 145°F) and then dried with hot air, which helps prevent odors and bacteria buildup.
