Leaving hairballs on carpet

My Mova V50 Ultra Complete seems to be having trouble handling the dog hair in our living room. Every time it cleans the room it ends up leaving behind at least one and sometimes two big balls of hair on the floor. It also seems to have trouble with the hair getting stuck in the rollers. In the attached pictures, you can see the size of one of the hairballs, as well as hair I removed from the rollers after vacuuming. (Note: the hairballs are left on the living room carpet, not the tile floor; I just put it near the Mova for scale.)

Unfortunately I don’t think there is a one size fits all solution as this could be many things…

- have you done a cleaning of the unit lately, including replacing the bag, replacing the brushes, cleaning the filter (super important)? There could be an obstruction or old parts that are preventing it from functioning well
- what are your auto-empty settings set to? Intelligent or high frequency may work best for your environment.
- also potentially try increasing the suction power on carpeted areas.

Just a few thoughts! They may not all work. I’ve actually noticed this more with my v50 as of late but I haven’t implemented my own suggestions above much, yet.

If the dirt collected by the robot mainly consists of fibrous or fluffy particles, these types of debris can easily clog the air inlet, and the base station often cannot completely remove them.

In such cases, we unfortunately can only recommend manually cleaning the affected areas, as the base station is generally unable to fully clear this kind of debris.

If the robot cleans regularly, the floor will typically stay clean for a longer time, which helps reduce the buildup of lint and greatly lowers the chance of the air inlet becoming clogged again.
