The past 2 weeks I decided to try something different with the way our home has been cleaned. Previously we would let the Mova Z60 vacuum & mop at the same time. While checking the settings in "Clean Genius" I saw the option to "Vac after Mop". My first thoughts was that this might make regular maintenance a lot easier as the vacuum would not be sucking up wet debris and especially pet hair and I have to say I was 10000% correct. We have 2 dogs in our household and one of them is a big shedder. Not long hair but definitely a whole bunch of short white hair. Performing maintenance after using this setting for 2 weeks was basically not needed at all. It was a big difference. I had previously performed cleaning and maintenance after one week of mop & vac at the same time and the difference was noticeable in all components. First in the dock. The dock was so much cleaner than usual and barely any debris or pet hair stuck on it. Also, the onboard water tank while it still had a bit of dirty water in it the water did not have any debris or pet hair like it did previously. Same could be said about the onboard dust bin. It looked almost new, previously there was some debris and pet hair still stuck in it most likely because it was sucked in while moist/wet. Lastly, the roller was also cleaner and noticeably free from pet hair. This setting was a huge game changer for both the cleanliness of our home and for our Mova Z60 as we were not forcing it to suck up wet debris which would previously make all components prone to being overall dirtier. If you have pets I highly suggest turning on "Mop after Vac"!!
I always prefer mop after vac! Yes it takes longer, but it just makes sense. Especially in a house like mine that has dog hair suck up as much dirt and debris as you can BEFORE introducing any water into the environment. Great recommendation!
