Cleaning solution

The multipurpose solution is used for both mop pad cleaning and floors cleaning?
Having solution in container is enough? Or do I need to add it to water as well?
How does it work?

If you add the cleaning solution to the container , it will be used for mop washing only.

If you add the cleaning solution to the clean water tank, it will be used for both mopping and mop washing.
