Z60 Retractable Sensor

Quick heads up: MOVA sent me this Z60 through their Get & Create program to try out and review, but these thoughts are 100% my own and truthful.

One place that was practically NEVER cleaned in the past was underneath the sofa. Along with being far too inconvenient to get to or having to move the furniture aside, I justified not cleaning this area by the fact that we never walk through the carpeted area underneath the sofa. Though I feel that it probably doesn’t need to be cleaned as often as other more accessible areas of the home, it’s very reassuring to know that it at least gets cleaned once in a while. And now that we have the Z60 cleaning for us, I just program it to clean that area along with the open parts of the carpet so it doesn’t add any extra workload to myself.

Alike my previous robot vacuum, it’s very helpful that the Z60 has a retractable sensor that allows cleaning in very low or tight spaces. My sofa is high enough off the ground for the majority of the area below it to be cleaned without retracting the sensor. However, this particular sofa has these knobs that make it that the Z60 might just about touch or glide past them if the sensor isn’t retracted. Fortunately, the Z60 is able to determine an approaching knob and retract its sensor as necessary, allowing a greater portion of my carpet to be cleaned.

I attached photos that clearly indicate the value of the retractable sensor for my use-case. In one of the photos, I paused the Z60 while the sensor was out and carried it right up to one of the knobs.
