With the Z60 there is a designated pet care section in the Mova app where you can turn pet recognition on and then see all pet related settings, such as large particle boost, strategic cleaning of pet areas, and the pet detergent setting. You can also view the pet activity zones which is a cool feature that creates a heat map of sorts where the Z60 has spotted your pets the most while cleaning. Naturally my dog was seen most on his pet bed area. Then the Z60 is smart enough to know to clean those surrounding areas more frequently and more thoroughly as that is where it has seen my pets most often.
Having a big dog with long hair and 2 cats my house naturally gets filled with pet hair on a daily basis, so if I don’t vacuum or run a robot vacuum it can tend to build up rather quickly. I can say that with running the Z60 daily, it keeps up quite well with even a high level of pet hair like this. I still use a strong stick vacuum once a week over the carpets to pick up any left behind hair or the super hard to reach areas, but what that picks up is surprisingly minimal.
Another Z60 setting that I love is the large particle boost. This comes especially handy when cleaning around the cat litter box. The cats naturally fling cat litter every where outside the box and cat litter is notoriously difficult for robot vacuums to pick up as they are dense heavy particles. With the large particle boost turned on the Z60 recognizes the cat litter and ramps up the suction and does a more thorough cross hatch cleaning of the area. This results in a much more thorough cleaning of the area.
The last pet related feature that I really like about the Z60 is the dedicated pet detergent tank. Mova gives you a separate pet odor detergent that the robot can use to clean your house or certain areas with. This is a great smelling odor neutralizing detergent that I have found does a great job with keeping the typical dog and cat related smells to a minimum. You can set the Z60 to use the pet detergent once a week or every cleaning session, depending on how much you want it to use.
All of these pet related settings and features of the Z60 makes it one of the best cleaning robot vacuums for owners with pets, that I have used at least. It has consistently kept up well with my house full of animals and unique pet situations so in this aspect at least I couldn’t be happier with the Z60.
