Z60 Navigation Mishaps causing it to Bump into things

Last edited by DE343116 on 2026-3-29 10:12

Quick heads up: MOVA sent me this Z60 through their Get & Create program to try out and review, but these thoughts are 100% my own and truthful.

A criticism that I’d like to bring up is the Z60’s detection capabilities. I’d expect with its hardware and AI detection abilities built-in that it can navigate without issue. It’s mostly fine, but has trouble once in a while. In the attached video, you can clearly see the Z60 ramming itself against the baby high chair, which has been the most problematic piece of furniture thus far. Later in the video, it also hits the dining table leg and/or chair. I also attached photos that show scuff marks on the Z60. It’ll eventually figure its way around and clean the selected area(s), but it would be great if its detection abilities took a significant improvement.

Hello,

for this situation, we recommend cleaning the robot’s LDS sensor and camera in a timely manner.

You may also try enabling the “Collision-avoidance mode” in the “Floor Cleaning Settings” to see if this helps improve the situation.
