[P10 Pro Ultra] Fails to complete docking

Last edited by FI859665 on 2026-4-9 03:37

Newly installed P10, failing to dock multiple times.  Have reset power on both dock and robot. The video is an example of multiple trys. Everything is clean in dock and robot.
Added another video. The robot gets almost in to the dock a suddenly rotates left violently.

I believe Mova recommends at least 5 cm on each side and 1.5 m in front of the base station but it appears like there’s plenty of room so I assume that’s not an issue. I also noticed that it’s turning the light on as it goes up the ramp. Have you tried turning on some lights just to see if it’s maybe a lighting issue on your dark tile and dark room?

A couple other things you can try:

Restart and retry docking
Power‑cycle the robot. Remove it from the dock, place it in front of the dock, and try recharging again. Please check whether you hear the voice prompt “Start charging.”

Reset the robot (factory settings)
Open the upper cover of the robot. Next to the Wi‑Fi indicator, there is a small reset hole. Press and hold for about 3 seconds until you hear “Start to restore factory settings.”
Then restart the robot and check if it can work and dock normally.

Note: A factory reset will erase all data, including saved maps.

Hello,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Please kindly follow the steps below to check and troubleshoot the issue:

1. Please make sure that there is sufficient space around the docking station.  Lack of space may obstruct docking.  (At least 5 cm of clearance on both sides and 1.5 m of open space in front of the station.)

2. Please check whether there are any water marks on the drive wheels or on the floor in front of the docking station.  If so, gently wipe them dry.

3. Please inspect the drive wheels, the caster wheel, and the ramp of the docking station for any dirt or foreign objects.  If you find any debris, clean it promptly and wipe away any dirt.

4. If the mop pads are heavily soiled, please replace them in time, as dirty mop pads may affect the robot’s ability to dock properly.

5. Please keep the docking station away from sources of signal interference, such as routers or televisions.  Also ensure that there are no reflective objects near the station, such as mirrors, windows, or other reflective surfaces.

We hope these steps help resolve the issue.

None of those steps resolved the issue. Two complete factory resets and home remap did not help. No cleaning or repositioning helped. Is there supposed to be a base station signal to guide it in to the dock?

Returned this unit and purchased another. It's working perfectly!
