[Z60 Ultra Complete] Dock in cabinet with low clearance door

I have the dock in a big cabinet with doors. The doors are high enough for the z60 to enter when Lidar is lowered. But, the z60 won’t lower lidar to enter. I tried creating a low clearance area in front of dock, but the z60 can’t find the dock anymore and wonders around the house looking for it.

Anyone have any ideas how to lower lidar so it can enter cabinet and dock?  I know I can always cut doors shorter, but trying to avoid that mod.

Hello,

Regarding your question about placing the base station in a large cabinet with a door, but the robot not lowering its lidar to enter, and your attempt to create a low clearance area in front of the base station, causing the robot to wander aimlessly around the room.

we'll first explain why the robot's lidar doesn't lower into the base station. Its descent is triggered by temporarily navigating low spaces, a feature used during cleaning. During the recharging process, the robot must maintain constant lidar availability; otherwise, positioning accuracy will decrease. Therefore, our robots cannot lower their lidar height during recharging.

Secondly, while you've set a low clearance to allow the robot to lower its lidar into the base station, the machine interprets this as the base station being in a cleaning area and won't enter, instead wandering around the house.

We recommend keeping the cabinet door open while the robot is cleaning and avoiding creating a low clearance area in front of the base station. If the robot still has trouble finding the base station, you'll have to place it in an open area. Thanks for your understanding.
