Hi,
We have a sunroom with an electric fireplace. It never fails it seems to be a great place for dust and dog fur to collect. A lot of my furniture is a little too low for the Z60 to get under, but the electric fireplace was high enough. I was hoping to be able to verify that it would lower the LIDAR on top of the Z60 and clean under the fireplace. It didn't disappoint. I have my setting as: Floor Cleaning Settings > Auto-lifting LDS > Extreme Coverage.
First it went around the outside of the fireplace then vacuumed the rest of the floor. It does say in the settings that it will first clean the open areas then lower the LIDAR on top and clean the low clearance areas. It came back when finished with the vacuuming and lowered the LIDAR.
It successfully went under the fireplace and vacuumed. When it finished there, it went to other pieces of furniture in the room, such as the swivel rocker and got closer to the base than it could with the LIDAR up. Once it finished with those pieces, it raised the LIDAR to complete the room.
The fireplace is not a large unit but it went under and made several trips back and forth to ensure it vacuumed the entire area. It did a great job.
The photos show it going around the outside first, then lowering the LIDAR and cleaning underneath.
