Carpet Cleaning Settings

I need help understanding the how each option in this settings category works in relation to practical application.  Are these settings assuming that the robot is set to mop rather than vacuum only?  Do they work in conjunction with the custom settings?  What is meant by "carpets" . . . throw rugs or capering?

Carpet cleaning can vacuum or mop, depending on your settings (as shown in the picture).

Carpet cleaning can be used in conjunction with custom cleaning.

You can set a carpet area on the map, and the robot will then perform specialized carpet cleaning on that area.

We recommend carpet cleaning for large carpet areas.
