Roller mop doesn’t roll

In the past few weeks, I’ve noticed the roller dirty on one side and it’s usually the one facing down towards the floor and also noticed unusual streaks after mopping.

Today I watched it up close while it was mopping and noticed that the roller was not turning, but dragging. I’ve removed the roller mop a few times thinking that I did not connect it properly, but it still doesn’t roll.
