[MOVA Diver A10] Life with Leia: MOVA Diver A10 's First Swim

I wanted to share a quick walkthrough of the unboxing and first run of the MOVA Diver A10 pool cleaner robot, especially for anyone considering making the jump to a hoseless pool cleaner.

Right out of the box, setup was about as simple as it gets. Everything is self-contained, no complicated assembly, and honestly one of the first things that stood out to me was just how clean the design is compared to the older hose-based systems. No tangles, no dragging lines, no extra parts to wrestle with.

Now… for the real test in my house...my Boxer/Border Collie dog Leia. Yes, named after Princess Leia, and yes, she absolutely lives up to the name in personality 😄 Her brother Luke enjoys the pool, but does not feel a sense of ownership of the pool like his sister. Leia is a full-on pool dog. She practically lives in the water and has a long-standing feud with my old Polaris cleaner. Over time, she didn’t just chew the hose… she escalated...eventually she was dragging the entire Polaris system out of the pool - hose, bag, cleaner and all. I’m pretty sure she just didn’t like sharing her pool...lol!

That’s honestly a big reason I jumped on the Diver A1 when I saw it at such an amazing price point for a fully hoseless system. So far, Leia’s definitely a little unsure about it. She’ll watch it, keep her distance, and circle it like she’s trying to figure out what the strange thing in her pool is. I’m cautiously optimistic that the lack of hoses means less “target practice” for her, but I’m not ruling anything out just yet… I wouldn’t put it past her to eventually try a deep dive attack 😂

If anyone else has pets that think they own the pool, I’d love to hear how they reacted to switching to a robot like this.
