This unit was provided at no cost through a product program. The experience below reflects my first mapping run and initial cleaning cycle.
⸻
Introduction
Once the V50 Ultra Complete was fully charged, the first thing I did was run the quick mapping cycle. This is prompted during setup, and I would recommend doing it right away. My home is about 2,000 square feet, so I was curious how long the mapping would take and how accurate it would be on the first pass.
⸻
What the Product Claims
The V50 is designed to quickly map your home, create editable room layouts, and use that information to perform efficient, structured cleaning. It also includes strong suction, automated mop handling, and app-based tracking of cleaning progress.
⸻
How I Tested It
This is based on the initial mapping run followed by a full vacuum and mop cycle.
• Quick mapping cycle across entire home
• First full vacuum run using default smart settings
• Full-home mopping cycle afterward
• Low-light conditions during overnight operation

Results and Experience
As soon as Vorticity left the dock, I started timing the mapping run and followed it through the house. It moved methodically from room to room, scanning and building the layout as it went.
The full mapping process took 27 minutes, which felt efficient for the size of my home. On the first pass, it successfully mapped every room. The layout was not perfect, as a few walls were slightly off and some areas were not fully explored, but it was more than usable right away.
I was able to go into the app and quickly clean things up by naming rooms, adjusting boundaries, and setting a preferred cleaning order. The default order wasn't very logical, so having control over it made a difference.
After that, I enabled the Clean Genius mode and started the first full cleaning cycle.
One thing I noticed immediately was that the robot removed the mop pads before starting a vacuum-only run. I like this design choice because it avoids dragging damp pads across carpet. It also means I do not have to wait for the pads to dry before running another vacuum cycle if I needed to do so.
During combined cleaning, the system lifts the mop pads when needed, which helps protect carpets. That is a thoughtful feature that addresses a common issue with robot mops.
The suction power is rated at 24,000 pascals, and while I cannot measure that directly, it did a solid job picking up debris on the first run. With two dogs in the house, that is an important factor.
What stood out just as much as the cleaning was the noise level. Even during vacuuming, it runs quietly enough to stay in the background. It is not silent, but it is much less intrusive than other robots I have used. The mop cycle is even quieter.
I also ran part of the cleaning overnight. The built-in light helped it navigate in low-light conditions, and by morning, everything had been cleaned without any issues. I did not see any streaking or leaks, and I could tell the cleaning solution had been used.
The app tracking was helpful as well. I could see exactly where it vacuumed and mopped, which gave me confidence that it covered the full space even when I was not watching it.
⸻
Pros
• Fast initial mapping for a full home
• Accurate enough to use immediately with minor edits
• Easy room labeling and cleaning order customization
• Automatically removes mop pads for vacuum-only runs
• Lifts mop pads to protect carpets during mixed cleaning
• Strong cleaning performance on first run
• Quiet operation for both vacuuming and mopping
• Reliable navigation even in low-light conditions
• Detailed cleaning tracking in the app
⸻
Cons
• The initial map is not perfect and needs some adjustments
• Default room order may not make sense without manual changes (it originally started in the northwest corner of my home, then went to clean a room in the southeast corner, skipping rooms in between)
• Some areas may require additional passes to fully map
⸻
Price and Value
Based on the first run, the V50 feels like a premium system. The combination of fast mapping, smart mop handling, and quiet operation adds real value, especially for larger homes or homes with pets.
⸻
Overall, the first mapping and cleaning cycle left a strong impression. It handled the initial setup well, cleaned effectively, and required minimal intervention. It has yet to get stuck anywhere. I will continue testing to see how consistent it remains over time and how well the mapping improves with repeated use.
