Product Name
MOVA V50 Ultra Complete (Vorticity)

Quick Rating
⭐ 3.8 / 5 for bath mat performance

This unit was provided at no cost through a product program. The testing below reflects real-world use in my home using bath mats that other robot vacuums have also struggled with to varying degrees.

Introduction
We have a couple of bath mats in our kitchen and master bathroom that robot vacuums never seem to handle consistently. Some robots avoid them entirely, some drive over them perfectly fine, and others partially fold or drag them around during cleaning.

They are not especially thick or high-pile rugs, which makes the inconsistency even stranger. Since every robot seems to react differently to them, I wanted to see how the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete would perform.

What the Product Claims
The V50 Ultra Complete is designed to intelligently adapt to different flooring surfaces, rugs, and obstacles while automatically adjusting suction and navigation behavior.

How I Tested It
For this experiment, I moved two bath mats into my living room and created a dedicated cleaning zone.

Testing conditions:
• Vacuum-only mode
• Standard suction setting
• Default out-of-box carpet settings
• Two separate bath mats placed in open flooring
• Multiple cleaning attempts performed

I intentionally avoided adjusting settings initially because I wanted to see how the vacuum handled the rugs under normal real-world conditions.

Results and Experience

First Cleaning Attempt

On the first run, I would describe the results as average.

Vorticity successfully vacuumed portions of both mats, but there was also some folding and bunching during cleaning. One rug cleaned fairly well, while the other partially folded over and was not fully cleaned afterward.

At this stage, I would place the performance somewhere in the middle compared to other robot vacuums I have used. I have definitely seen worse behavior, but I have also seen better.

Since the rugs were newly introduced into the area, I decided to give the robot another attempt in case the first pass functioned more like a learning run.

Second Cleaning Attempt

Unfortunately, the second run produced very similar results.

In fact, one portion of the test was worse. One rug became partially caught in the wheel, and Vorticity started dragging it around while trying to continue cleaning. Watching it attempt to navigate with the rug attached honestly looked like a cat panicking over something stuck to its tail.

At this point, it was clear the issue was not just initial mapping unfamiliarity.

Third Cleaning Attempt With Adjusted Settings

Before giving up completely, I decided to adjust one setting in the MOVA Home app.

I disabled the “Carpet Boost” function for these rugs in hopes that reducing the suction response would improve consistency.

Unfortunately, the third run still involved pushing, folding, and movement of the rugs. I would not say the setting adjustment made any meaningful improvement in this specific scenario.

Pros
• Successfully vacuumed portions of the bath mats
• Did not completely avoid the rugs
• Navigation remained controlled overall
• Carpet recognition features worked consistently
• Settings are highly adjustable for future experimentation

Cons
• Rugs were frequently folded or pushed during cleaning
• Cleaning consistency varied between runs
• One rug became partially stuck in the wheel
• Carpet Boost adjustment did not noticeably improve performance
• Not ideal for lightweight bath mats without modifications

Price and Value
Outside of this specific rug scenario, I have been very happy with the V50 Ultra Complete overall. However, if lightweight bath mats are a major part of your home setup, this is definitely an area where expectations should be realistic.

Some form of rug anchoring, grip backing, or weighted corners will probably be necessary for the most consistent results.

Overall, I would not call this a total failure, but I also would not call it a strong success. Vorticity was capable of cleaning the mats at times, but the experience was inconsistent enough that I would not rely on it for lightweight bath mats without some type of modification to keep them in place.

I may continue experimenting with additional settings or AI adaptation over time, but based on the first few tests, bath mats appear to be one of the weaker areas for this robot.
