I received the V50 Ultra Complete at no charge through MOVA’s “Get and Create Program.” This post reflects my real-world experience using the mop system throughout my home.

Introduction
Today was the first time I ran the mopping cycle on the V50 Ultra Complete while actually awake and actively watching it work. During my earlier overnight runs, the results looked good afterward, but I wanted to see exactly how the robot behaved during operation.

I specifically wanted to watch for:
• Water leaks
• Dirty water streaking
• Strange noises
• Wet carpets
• Missed edges
• General mopping behavior

My first impressions before this test were already positive, but this was the first time I could directly observe the entire process from start to finish.

What the Product Claims
The V50 Ultra Complete includes heated water mopping, automated detergent dispensing, rotating mop pads with downward pressure, automatic pad washing and drying, carpet lift functionality, and AI-assisted cleaning adjustments.

How I Tested It
Testing conditions:
• Approximately 2,000 sq ft mixed flooring home
• Vacuum cycle completed first
• Followed by a full-home mopping cycle
• Clean Genius mode enabled
• Default out-of-box cleaning settings used
• No manual adjustments to water levels or cleaning intensity

Results and Experience

Heated Water and Cleaning Solution System

The V50 does not use the roller-style mop found on the Z60, but it still includes a surprisingly advanced mopping system.

One of the biggest features is the heated water system. The dock heats the water before sending it to the robot, and the robot periodically returns to refresh the pads and reheat the water during cleaning.

I cannot independently verify the exact 176°F claim, but I can confirm the water and mop pads felt warm during operation.

The Duo-Solution tank system is another feature I really like. The robot supports both regular cleaning solution and specialty solution simultaneously, and the dock automatically dispenses the appropriate amount without requiring manual mixing.

Mop Cleaning and Dock Maintenance

The dock itself is also far more sophisticated than most robot vacuum docks I have used.

The “Jetspray Dryboard” system continuously sprays and flushes the mop washing tray while cleaning the pads. This keeps both the mop pads and the dock noticeably cleaner during operation.

The omnidry system also dries both the mop pads and the vacuum dust bag area using heat. I especially appreciate the dust bag drying feature because robot vacuums occasionally run over slightly damp debris without you realizing it.

With pets in the house, preventing odors and moisture buildup is genuinely important long-term.

Actual Mopping Performance

The mop pads rotate at high speed while applying downward pressure, so the system actively scrubs the floor instead of simply dragging damp cloth across it.

Before mopping, I always run a dedicated vacuum cycle first. While the robot technically supports simultaneous vacuuming and mopping, I personally think separate passes result in cleaner floors overall.

Once the vacuum cycle finished, Vorticity washed the pads and immediately began mopping.

The navigation pattern was logical and easy to follow. Just like during vacuuming, the robot cleaned edges first before moving inward using overlapping rows.

The right mop pad extends outward during operation to improve edge coverage, and I was able to visibly confirm that feature working throughout the clean.

The robot also periodically returned to the dock to wash the mop pads. I cannot fully confirm whether it is sensing dirt levels directly, but the refresh timing definitely appeared smarter than a simple timer-based system.

Floor Results

The floors were left damp, but not soaked. Even with humid spring weather, the floors generally dried within a row or two behind the robot.

That drying speed is significantly faster than when I manually mop.

Most importantly:
• No streaking
• No leaking
• No standing water
• No wet carpet issues

The edge cleaning was also very good overall. Because the robot is circular, tiny corners can still be missed slightly, but the uncovered areas are minimal.

Honestly, watching the extending mop pad dance around edges was oddly entertaining.

Battery and Runtime

My home is large enough that the robot could not complete the full vacuum and mop cycle on a single charge.

After several hours and one recharge cycle, the full mopping process completed successfully.

At the end, the app sent a push notification reminding me to empty the dirty water tank promptly. When I emptied it, the water was extremely gray and cloudy despite the floors already being fairly clean beforehand.

That alone tells me the mop system is definitely pulling dirt off the floors effectively.

Pros
• Heated water mopping system
• Automated cleaning solution dispensing
• Strong edge cleaning performance
• Floors dry quickly after mopping
• No streaking or leaking observed
• Intelligent mop pad refreshing
• Dock cleans and dries mop pads automatically
• Dust bag drying is an underrated feature
• Good navigation during mopping cycles

Cons
• Full-home mopping takes a long time in larger homes
• Cannot fully reach sharp corners due to circular design
• Multiple charging cycles may be required for large homes

Overall, I came away very impressed with the V50 Ultra Complete’s mopping performance. It handled my home cleanly, quietly, and without the issues I was worried about going into the test.

I still want to test it against heavier and dirtier messes in the future, but for everyday floor maintenance so far, Vorticity has been doing an excellent job.
