[N1] MOVA N1 Window Cleaning Robot Review — Excellent First-Gen Product with Big Potential | 4.5/5 ⭐

I recently purchased the MOVA N1 Window Cleaning Robot with my own money. This is not a sponsored review or testing review — just my genuine first experience with a newly launched product category from MOVA.

Overall, I would rate it 4.5 out of 5 stars ⭐. The N1 is very good at what it is designed to do. It cleans glass well, feels secure on the window, and is a very helpful product for larger windows, mirrors, and interior glass doors. I was honestly excited to try it because window cleaning is one of those chores that looks simple but takes a lot of time when you have many glass surfaces around the house. 🪟✨

I used it over 3 days, around 4 hours each day, so roughly 12 hours total. During that time, I cleaned interior windows, mirrors, glass doors, and a few accessible exterior windows. The cleaning result was good, and it definitely helped reduce manual effort.

A few observations from my first use:

The included cleaning liquid was used up completely during the first run. After that, I switched to spraying Windex directly on the glass, but I am not sure whether Windex can be safely used as a replacement liquid inside the MOVA N1 tank. I would appreciate official confirmation from MOVA on what liquids are approved and safe to use.

For exterior windows, the robot had some trouble when it went over or near the outside trim. It would sometimes stop and report that the machine was not connected to the window. My assumption is that it has some type of image, edge, or sensor-based detection, similar to how robot vacuums detect stairs or fall risk. It seems to identify the difference between glass and trim, but exterior trim can confuse it. 🤖

It also leaves a very tiny line or streak near some corners and edges. Not a major issue, but noticeable. I wish the stopper/contact points had felt or a softer material instead of hard plastic, especially near delicate glass edges or frames.

I still need to try it on tiled surfaces. One future feature I would love to see is a tile/grout attachment or scrubbing accessory. If MOVA can eventually make this work for bathroom tiles and grout lines, that would be amazing. 🧽

Another improvement idea would be better obstacle recognition. When cleaning bathroom glass doors, the robot sometimes got stuck near handles. It also had trouble on some windows with decorative designs, similar to front door glass panels. A future version with image recognition or AI-based detection would make this much smarter.

I also tried thinking outside the box and tested whether it could be useful for a kitchen peninsula, island, or marble surface. Right now, that does not work because the machine detects that it is sitting on the ground or not connected to a proper vertical surface. I understand this may not be the intended use today, but I hope MOVA can consider a software update or future mode for flat countertop/marble cleaning. That would be a real game changer. 🚀

Overall, I am happy with the MOVA N1. It does what it promises and is a strong first-generation product. With better liquid guidance, softer edge protection, improved trim/obstacle detection, and future accessories for tile or marble, this could become an even more useful home-cleaning robot.

Great review! Make sure to submit that feedback about horizontal use through the app. A major competitor actually added that feature to their window bot, so hopefully MOVA can do the same!

Works fine 9/10. If you mirror are arched at the top, you might need to bit cautious. It will try to course correct but may fall. I had it fail one time.

On mine I have filled it with windex and have had no issues.  Used it on 12 floor to ceiling windows in our sunroom inside and out and had no problems with using windex.
