Vacuuming carpets

Does anyone have issue with this robot getting lost on carpet and rugs? If I use the Map & Clean function it works as expected. When I set it to clean the same room after it maps it the robot will clean the hard surfaces but get lost on carpet and rugs. The carpet is less than 2cm that Mova says is the max pile (not documented) and the rugs are woven Berber with no pile. Any help would be appreciated. It’s been returned for repair already and same result. Did I by a robot vacuum that can’t vacuum??
