Map backup

My yard is a complex shape. Having mapped it twice in the first week, I now know it takes about 90 minutes to make a map.  The map has problems, and I'm interested in fixing them. But! I'm not interested in starting over every time.  Is there some way to "backup" the map and mestore it later if changes turn out badly? If I nudge a zone edge I want to be able to "undo" that at a later date if it makes the grass worse.

I'd even be willing to use my second map as a backup if there was a way to copy maps between the two slots. (And if there is a reason there aren't more slots, I'd like to know that, I'm having zone problems and might need more maps to fix that.)

You can backup one version of your map and restore it using the map editor screen. Once you delete a map after you have backed one up, it will prompt you to restore to that version. Unfortunately only 2 maps are possible at this time.

Hi there, using your second map slot as a backup is a great idea. You can leverage the second map slot along with the built-in map backup function to make gradual adjustments until you are happy with the layout.
It is worth noting that map copying between slots is not supported right now.
Regarding map editing tools: Zone splitting is available, but please keep in mind the split-off section cannot be deleted after dividing. You can merge separate zones and expand lawn boundaries. Shrinking mapped areas, shifting borders or manually resizing edges are not supported features at this time.
