Moving base to carport?

Hello!  Currently the base is in my yard.  Id like to move it to my carport for better protection.  Is it possible to A) move it without remaining the entire yard and B) even putting it in the carport.  I was going to create a work zone that includes the carport but never actually set it to mow so that technically the base is within a zone.  Will that work?

Hello，thank you very much for your feedback. Regarding your first question, minor repositioning of the base station is supported. If you move it over a large distance, the robot may fail to locate itself, so remapping is recommended for major base‑station relocation.
For your second question, yes, you can place the base station inside the carport. The dock can sit either inside or outside your working zones. If it is located outside the working zones, you will need to set up connecting paths.

In order to move it, should I move the base, put the mower on the charger, then create the path?  Or move the charger and then create the path to the chargers new location?

Mova Support, can you be a little more specific about the original posters question? If the dock is outside the work zone does one have to set up a non-working zone and create a path? The nonworking zone would be the zone in which the charging station is located, the carport.

Hello, sorry for the late reply. Thank you very much for your feedback. Regarding your question, please refer to the following operations:
Moving the base station a long distance while the robot is working will cause positioning failure and prevent the robot from returning‑to‑charge. You can carry the robot back manually or steer it back to the base station for charging. The robot will automatically update the base‑station position the next time it starts a task from the dock.
If you have moved the base station outside the working area, go to **Map Edit** → **set path** to set up a corridor connecting the base station to the working area.
If the base‑station position still cannot be updated successfully, you need to remap the area.
