I read somewhere that you can submit a video and data so that the device firmware can be updated to handle special situations but now I cannot find out where the information is for that. My issue is I have 1" high molding at floor level beside my 3" molding and the robot cannot properly sense it and just careens down the hall like a drunk person versus going straight along the 1" molding. Also; where the trim is low along the staircase (natural wood in the picture) it too is only 1" high and the robot simply cannot go straight down the edge but just bounces along missing swaths along the way every time.
Thanks for any insights!!
Hi ! Here is the requested information, you can see on both sides of the hall it sort of spins back and forth and doesn't go straight along the edges - I am assuming this is because it can't sense the low moldings?
Thank you for your help!
SN R2491C56WUS0002633
Firmware 4.3.9_1658
Is the robot unable to clean in a straight line along the molding, regardless of whether it's 1 inch or 3 inches high?
Additionally, could you provide us with the following information to help further analyze the issue:
1.The SN number on the label under the robot.
2.The firmware version.
3.A map screenshot showing the robot's cleaning path not correctly following the edge.
Based on the map screenshot, the robot appears to be moving in straight lines when navigating the center of the room, which indicates that the LDS sensor is functioning properly.
We recommend gently wiping the edge sensors of the robot to see if that helps improve the situation.
Im wondering if along the staircase in particular it struggles because the raised wood is the same color as the flooring? Is there a process to submit a video from the robot for review?
Thanks I actually just cleaned all the sensors right before this run per maintenance recommendation. I noticed that in certain instances it handles the low molding perfectly and in other it bounces
